Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how 合同会社よいまる (Godo Kaisha Yoimaru), the operator of LaunchBox (“LaunchBox,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles personal information when you visit or use any LaunchBox website or first-build planning tool that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy applies to users in the United States. It does not cover third-party websites, services, or applications that link to or from the Service.

LaunchBox is a product-planning tool. It is not intended for healthcare, financial, employment, education admissions, housing, insurance, legal, or other high-impact decisions.

2. Information We Handle

Information You Enter Into LaunchBox

You may enter or select information about a proposed product, including its intended users, problems, current processes, desired features, testing plans, success measures, and related explanations.

In the current version of LaunchBox, this information is processed on your device and stored in your browser’s local storage so that your work remains available in the same browser.

Please do not enter confidential business information, trade secrets, personal information about another person, or sensitive personal information, including government identifiers, precise location data, account credentials, payment-card information, health information, biometric information, or information about children.

Feedback

If you select a usefulness rating in the current version of the tool, the rating remains only in temporary page memory and is not transmitted to us. It normally disappears when the page is refreshed or closed.

Technical and Usage Information

When you visit the Service, our hosting and network providers, including Vercel, may automatically process ordinary request, diagnostic, and security information. This may include:

• IP address
• Browser and device type
• Operating system
• Referring page
• Requested pages
• Date and time of access
• Diagnostic or security events

We use this information to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Service. We do not currently use advertising trackers or create user-account profiles.

Local Storage and Similar Technologies

LaunchBox uses browser local storage to save information such as your product type, answers, clarification responses, and flow version.

Local storage is not the same as a traditional cookie, but it is a similar browser technology. Information stored locally remains on your device until you:

• Select “Start over”
• Clear the Service’s site data through your browser
• End a private-browsing session
• Allow your browser to remove the stored information automatically

Blocking local storage may prevent LaunchBox’s save-and-resume functionality from working correctly.

Information From Third Parties

The current Service may request fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser makes this request, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and the requested font resource. Google handles this information according to its own privacy terms.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information available to us to:

• Provide and operate the Service
• Generate your planning report locally on your device
• Remember your answers in the same browser
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the website
• Prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents
• Improve the reliability and performance of the Service
• Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations
• Enforce our terms and protect LaunchBox, our users, and others

We do not currently use your planning answers for AI model training, human review, marketing, or product analytics.

If these practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information available to us to:

• Service providers that host, deliver, secure, or support the Service, subject to appropriate contractual restrictions
• Government authorities, courts, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or valid legal requests
• Parties involved in protecting the rights, safety, property, and security of LaunchBox, our users, or others
• A buyer, successor, investor, or adviser in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction
• Other parties when you direct us to disclose information or provide your consent

We do not currently sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit its use under California law.

5. Data Retention

Planning answers remain in your browser’s local storage until you delete them using the methods described in this Privacy Policy.

Because planning answers are not transmitted to us in the current version of LaunchBox, we cannot access, retrieve, or remotely delete them for you. Temporary feedback remains only until the page is refreshed, closed, or otherwise reset.

Hosting and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Operate and secure the Service
• Investigate technical or security incidents
• Comply with applicable laws
• Resolve disputes
• Enforce agreements

The specific retention period may vary depending on the type of record and the practices of our service providers. Information will be deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably necessary, where practicable.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information available to us.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device and browser profile. Please avoid entering sensitive or confidential information into LaunchBox.

7. Your Choices and U.S. State Privacy Rights

Browser Controls

You can delete your planning answers by selecting “Start over” or clearing the Service’s site data through your browser. You may block local storage through your browser settings, although LaunchBox may not be able to remember your progress.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. Because these activities do not currently occur, the Service does not need to change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.

If our practices change, we will recognize and honor legally required opt-out preference signals.

State Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and whether the applicable law covers our activities, you may have the right to:

• Confirm whether we process your personal information
• Access personal information we process about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of personal information
• Receive a portable copy of certain personal information
• Obtain information about the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients of personal information
• Opt out of the sale of personal information
• Opt out of targeted advertising
• Opt out of certain profiling activities
• Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information
• Appeal a denied privacy request
• Receive equal service without unlawful discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

To submit a privacy request or appeal, use the contact information in Section 12 and write “U.S. Privacy Request” in the subject line or at the top of your letter. Please describe your request and provide your state of residence. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing the request.

An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We may require proof of authorization and direct verification of the consumer’s identity. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

If the requested information exists only in your browser’s local storage, we do not possess it and cannot access or delete it remotely.

8. California Privacy Notice

During the 12 months preceding the effective date of this Privacy Policy, the categories of personal information we may have collected include:

• Identifiers, such as IP addresses
• Internet or other electronic network activity information from ordinary website requests

User-provided planning content and any results generated from that content remain on the user’s device in the current version of LaunchBox.

The sources, purposes, disclosure categories, and retention practices for this information are described in Sections 2 through 5.

We have not knowingly sold or shared personal information, as those terms are defined under California law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years old.

9. Children’s Privacy

LaunchBox is intended for adults and business users. It is not directed to children under 13 years old.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the information in Section 12. We will review the report and take appropriate action.

Users under the age of majority in their state should use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

10. International Operations

LaunchBox is operated from Japan.

Information available to us may be processed in Japan, the United States, or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your state or country.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international processing and transfers of personal information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or applicable laws. When we update this Privacy Policy, we will post the revised version and update the “Last Updated” date.

If a change materially affects how we use previously collected personal information, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.

We will not silently use previously collected personal information in a materially incompatible manner.
